Blood Work &Tests:
We offer a variety of tests from Fecal Checks and Urinalysis to
Blood Profiles and Heartworm Tests.

Most of these tests are performed in-house while you wait.
Heartworm Test -
A Heartworm Test should be done yearly in the Spring before starting a
heartworm preventative. It is a blood test and will take approximately 15
minutes. (If your dog is on a preventative year round this test can be done
every other year instead of yearly)
Fecal Check -
A Fecal Check is a test of a pets stool. (you will need to bring this with you
at the time of your appointment) This test checks for intestinal Parasites and
should be done yearly for most pets. This test will take approximately 10
minutes and may be done at the time of your appointment or you may bring
the sample in at any time for testing.
Urine Analysis -
A Urine Analysis is a test of a pets urine. (you will need to bring this with you
at the time of your appointment) This test looks at the PH level of the urine,
looks for blood, crystals and infection. This test is usually performed on pets
who's urinating habits have changed (urinating in the house or on personal
belongings) and will take approximately 10 minutes.
Blood Profile -
A Blood Profile is a blood test performed at the clinic. It measures the blood
values to determine if the organs are functioning properly (liver, Kidneys,
Etc.) as well as the blood sugar. This test is most commonly done before
under going a surgical procedure. But may also be performed on a sick pet
to determine the cause of the illness.
QBC -
This is a test similar to the Blood Profile but it is more exact and more
detailed.
FELK Test -
A FELK test is a test for Feline Leukemia. This is a blood test performed at
the clinic and will take approximately 15 minutes.
